The James A. Babson Memorial Fund was established in 2023 by Senani Babson to honor her late husband's deep commitment to Sarvodaya and the people of Sri Lanka. Funds have initially been devoted to supporting:
Organic Farm and Training Center in Padavi-Sripura in Trincomallee District. This will
support the 25-Acre farm maintenance and training of students and farmers in organic agriculture.
Sarvodaya Suwasetha Children Homes - This will provide support for care of over 50 children and teenage mothers home.
Travel and logistics support for Sarvodaya - Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement now plays an important role regionally and internationally providing inputs to global development policies and strategies. lncreasingly the President of Sarvodaya is invited by UN, Multilateral development agencies such as the lnternational Monetary Fund (lMF), World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB) to provide inputs as a grass roots development organizations to present Sarvodaya experience and recommendations in related to community development, poverty alleviation and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
